Genesis is excited about moving forward with our Par 3 program that we test marketed last year at the Links at Gettysburg. After some modification of last year’s program, we are expanding it for the second half of this year’s season. Next year, we will roll it out even further throughout south-central Pennsylvania.  We are specifically looking for interested parties to work at the Links at Gettysburg, Royal Manchester and occasionally at Heritage Hills.

Here is the full job description.

Summary:

If you love the game of golf and being outdoors for a change of pace, then this job may be for you. Genesis Golf Trips, the largest Mid-Atlantic packager, is also a concierge of great golf experiences to the great courses that reside within this great region.

We are expanding our Par 3 Program at various golf courses for mid-summer through fall. The program is a tournament feeling program, as we set up a table on one of the select par 3 tees of a participating and partnering golf course.  The customer is greeted and then quickly given an opportunity to “ante in,” (play) to potentially win varying prizes according to how well one drives off the tees.

All signage and materials will be provided in addition to the pitch of the offer. The best part of the program is that the Wounded Warrior Patrol of south-central PA will benefit $2/ participation from each golfer choosing to participate. Genesis hopes to be able to earmark dollars earned at each course to specific recipients in the area.

This is a professional position, realizing that the way in which one carries himself or herself is a direct reflection on both organizations.  Integrity as well is paramount and an understanding of the game of golf, reading yardage and golf etiquette.  While being personal and respectable, one must also realize the time spent and not affect or slow down pace of play.  It is a gentle balance.  Furthermore, this is a seasonal part-time job that is compensated upon sales results (commission or a minimum wage base).

At the beginning of each week the participating courses will provide Genesis with an idea of which days have enough play to warrant running the program.  Typically higher volume days will be the weekends and possibly Fridays.  Par 3 employees will be confirmed 24 hours out, when Genesis receives a copy of the tee sheets for final review.  If the day is authorized, according to the tee sheet and anticipated weather, then employees will be authorized to work the next day.  Members of the Par 3 team need to be flexible and available for weekends.
