THE “ORIGINAL” GOLF  DESTINATION
The start of golf packages in the Hershey -Dutch region of Pennsylvania (one of the most traveled within the Commonwealth) actually started in York, PA! Golfers have been driving to this region for years to experience a diversity of golf experiences with a great central location, at a great value. The concentration of championship golf courses within York County keeps golfers flocking. Its location also provides golfers greater accommodation value as compared to neighboring Gettysburg, Lancaster and Hershey. All combined, it’s a sure winner any time of year. In addition to a long list of courses, its central location makes it easy to combine other regional courses as “on the way in,” or “on the way out,” options for extended stays or a unique twist. York golf packages are truly an original for so many reasons.
A MIXED BAG OF COURSES TO SELECT
York offers a diversity of golf course experiences to change up things for your golf group every day. Just like a mixed bag, group leaders should be able to find what they need. Heritage Hills appeals to many discriminating golfers looking for both a resort setting and a premium traditional golf course. Their second golf property, only a few miles down the road, is Springwood. Springwood’s layout is more challenging with rolling hills and bunkers throughout, an excellent compliment to Heritage Hills. Briarwood Golf Club offers two golf courses for a 36-hole day and is conveniently located on the west side of Rt. 30. The exciting news about this course is a major renovation of its East course with new fairways and greens at a total of 6938 yards. Down the street from Briarwood is Honey Run, offering golfers a solid traditional golf course and is one of the first to dry out when there is rain.

On the north side of York, accessible via I-83 and convenient to Harrisburg is the area’s newest golf course, Royal Manchester. This links style golf course will challenge golfers with its long fescue grass, bunkers and carry over’s. If that isn’t’ enough, you will want to enjoy the panoramic views of the Susquehanna River and enjoy their new.

19TH HOLE ACCOMMODATIONS
Every single accommodation choice in York offers some kind of access to the very important 19th hole. York, in fact, boasts a superb stay & play option in Pennsylvania at Heritage Hills Golf Resort. There are two restaurants right onsite – Ironwoods and Knickers Pub with even an outdoor and heated patio and live entertainment at night in the pub or their downtown Irish pub, Maewyn’s. The Sheraton Four Points at the I-83 and
Rt. 30 interchange is full-service as well with a small lounge/restaurant onsite and San Carlos & the Hop and Cheddars Casual Café within walking distance. The Best Western Westgate, located on the west side of Rt. 30, has TGI Fridays next door to it, plus Ruby Tuesday, Logan’s Steakhouse, Banana Max and more.
