Desiring a ‘taste of Maryland,’ but looking for something a little closer? Then the Upper Chesapeake Golf Trail may be a fun new option to consider.
The destination offers two contrasting kinds of experiences, depending upon where you decide to land your head at night. Golf courses in this golf trail can be combined no matter where you stay, so it really just depends upon your choice for 19th holes. On the northeast part of this golf trail is the town of North East. Smaller in contrast to the second ‘home base,’ it offers a smaller, waterman’s village feel with tons of Maryland fun. Within less than a mile from the host hotel is the 10 block long town a numerous restaurants. One of which is Steak & Main Oyster Bar & Steakhouse, which was featured on the Continue reading

Gettysburg, PA – After a season of successful fundraising efforts, Genesis Golf Trips and the Links at Gettysburg will host a check presentation event for the Carlisle-based Wounded Warrior Patrol. This local non-profit organization benefits local warriors in need by supporting the recovery and family bonding of Wounded Warriors, warrior spouses or caregivers and their children through the recreational therapy of snow sports.
The Links at Gettysburg just finished its 4th annual fundraising outing for the organization, its most successful outing yet. Money was also raised through a fun and challenging Par 3 Program, ran by Genesis, at the Links at Gettysburg and two other regional, premium courses. Genesis Golf Trips and the Links at Gettysburg confirmed today that the Wounded Warrior Patrol will receive a combined $8,318 from the groups’ combined efforts.

During the wintry months of 2014, I had the pleasure of speaking with Rick Woelfel about the game of golf, our industry and then Genesis and how we focus uniquely on the Mid-Atlantic corridor as golf destination offerings. Rick has been writing and doing interviews for years, looking for a slightly different spin than most other writers, which makes him unique. He looks a little deeper than most, so that the reader learns a little more than simply about golf. Here’s wishing Rick and Women’s Golf Report, much success in 2014!
